Over 400 million tons of waste are generated annually in Germany. This waste consists of packaging, film, and food scraps, which are often disposed of carelessly and hastily. To reduce this alarmingly high amount, thousands of people don't need to become zero-waste heroes overnight - a general shift in thinking is needed!

ALEXASCHA stands for conscious consumption and strives to preserve the earth in all its wonderful colors. When producing our jewelry, we therefore follow the motto "Less is more" and avoid finite resources and unnecessary waste as much as possible. We chose this path to create high-quality jewelry for wearers who value protecting nature and also appreciate small rewards in everyday life. What does Less Waste mean?

You've probably heard of the zero-waste movement before. It's known for eliminating waste from your life and completely doing without things like packaging and samples – out of love for the environment. A very exciting and important step, but that sounds like a lot of pressure and effort in your everyday life, right?

Less Waste is the casual term for this approach.
The rule here is: Mistakes are allowed, and everything you do to reduce waste is a step in the right direction! Because it's not about doing everything perfectly. If everyone does their part and pays attention to producing less waste, this is the right step towards a more sustainable future. We want to be part of this sustainable future, too, and therefore follow 7 Less Waste Principles.

Our 7 Less Waste Principles

Less waste through upcycling

With upcycling, we transform waste products into new pieces of jewelry. We purchase leftovers from major manufacturers and breathe new life into (seemingly) useless materials – for example, our earrings, bracelets, and necklaces from the PURE FORM collection start their next life cycle with good karma.

Conscious selection of materials

To increase the lifespan of our jewelry, we rely on robust and durable raw materials such as glass or stainless steel. This ensures that you can enjoy your jewelry for years to come and continue wearing it for years to come. Instead of numerous different components, our products are made from a maximum of three different materials. Recycling is key: Earrings and other items can be easily disassembled and disposed of if necessary. The stones belong in the glass recycling bin, leather in the general waste bin, and stainless steel can be taken to the recycling center along with other collected metals.

Trend-independent designs

When designing our jewelry, we focus on simple shapes and stylish colors. This minimalist approach makes our jewelry wearable regardless of trends. It's easy to combine with your wardrobe and adapts to you and your current taste.

Packaging made from 100% paper

The less waste approach not only involves avoiding plastic, but also looking for environmentally friendly alternatives. That's why we use 100% paper for our packaging.

Made to order

To preserve the brilliance of our jewelry, we don't maintain large inventories, but instead manufacture many products directly to order. This way, we avoid overproduction and don't have to write off the pieces because they sit on our shelves for months.

Repairing broken jewelry

Have you enjoyed one of our products for a long time, but now it's broken? Even if the return period has already passed, you can return your ALEXASCHA product to us at any time, and we'll repair it for you. This way, you don't have to buy a new one.

Process returns conscientiously

Large corporations often discard returned items upon receipt. This is out of the question at ALEXASCHA; all returns are handled with care. We accept them, inspect and disinfect the products, and then add them back to our inventory.
